Welcome to the Boiling Kettle Theatre Company

BOILING KETTLE THEATRE COMPANY was founded in 2006 by Sian Williams (Writer/Administrator) and Anne Pearson (Artistic Director). The company is dedicated to bringing text based drama to rural communities and has staged four very successful tours: The Mad Woman in the Attic by Sian Williams (2006 and 2008) and a double bill entitled Thicker than Water which featured Sian’s play Master of Disguise and Clearing My Mother’s House by Lisa McGinnis. The shows were seen by over two thousand people and most enthusiastically received.

Sian’s play, Defender of the Dead, toured extensively in the South West from September to November 2016 and toured to venues in Hampshire and Dorset from  28th October 2017 to 17th February 2018. Please go to the NEWS section for more details.

The Writing for Somerset play writing project began with 3 workshops in the Autumn of 2016 and on Sunday, 15th October 2017 a Scratch Night was held at The Archangel, Frome where extracts from the plays in development were presented. The evening was a great success and the Frome Writers' Group is going from strength to strength. Please go to our NEWS section for updates on its activities.
